Artist’s Note:
Pink Peony No. 2 has a quiet, moody presence that sets it apart from my other work. Rich fuchsia tones blend into darker burgundy strokes within the petals, creating dramatic shadows and a sense of movement throughout the bloom. The interplay between light and dark strokes encourages the eye to follow the lines and movement of each unfolding petal. While the vibrant pinks remain present, they are somewhat shrouded in deeper tones, creating a more intimate and contemplative atmosphere.
In 2021, captivated by the vibrant pink peonies in my mother’s garden, I photographed three different peonies that later became the inspiration for Pink Peony No. 1, Pink Peony No. 2 and Pink Peony No. 3. Created one after another, these three drawings share a similar colour palette and artistic approach, while each bloom retains its own distinct character. Whether displayed vertically, side by side or arranged in a more organic way, the prints of these three drawings come together beautifully while allowing each individual flower to stand on its own.
Processing & Shipping:
Each print is produced using archival pigment inks on acid-free, 100% cotton rag paper. Each print is signed and numbered by the artist, accompanied by a certificate of authenticity, and shipped unframed.
Shipping is currently available within Canada, excluding Saskatchewan. If you are located outside of Canada, please reach out using the Contact page and we can discuss whether an order may be possible.
As each print is made to order, please allow up to 10 business days for processing and preparation before shipping.
