Artist’s Note:
Pink Peony No. 1 was my first drawing using alcohol-based markers featuring a peony. It was in this piece that the feather-like strokes that became central to my floral work first began to emerge. The vibrant fuchsia strokes, deep burgundy accents and soft pink highlights flow across the petals, creating a sense of movement and depth. The star-like arrangement of the petals, which seem to float within the space around them, gives this piece a graceful elegance and balance.
In 2021, captivated by the vibrant pink peonies in my mother’s garden, I photographed three different peonies that later became the inspiration for Pink Peony No. 1, Pink Peony No. 2 and Pink Peony No. 3. Created one after another, these three drawings share a similar colour palette and artistic approach, while each bloom retains its own distinct character. Whether displayed vertically, side by side or arranged in a more organic way, the prints of these three drawings come together beautifully while allowing each individual flower to stand on its own.
Processing & Shipping:
Each print is produced using archival pigment inks on acid-free, 100% cotton rag paper. Each print is signed and numbered by the artist, accompanied by a certificate of authenticity, and shipped unframed.
Shipping is currently available within Canada, excluding Saskatchewan. If you are located outside of Canada, please reach out using the Contact page and we can discuss whether an order may be possible.
As each print is made to order, please allow up to 10 business days for processing and preparation before shipping.
