Artist’s Note:
Peach Peony No. 1 celebrates the warmth of a peach-hued bloom through a richly layered palette of peach, soft pink, and fuchsia. The interplay of these colours creates petals full of depth, movement and luminosity, while the rounded form of the flower brings a quiet sense of balance. One of my favourite details is the sunlight illuminating the heart of the bloom, where the delicate shadows cast by the golden yellow stamens fall across the petals beneath, adding another layer of depth and quiet beauty.
Inspired by the same photograph of one of my mother's peonies, Peach Peony No. 1 and Peach Peony No. 2 are two different interpretations of the same bloom. Though similar at first glance, as you move closer, each drawing gradually reveals its own personality. Displayed together, the prints create a warm, balanced pairing while allowing the unique character of each bloom to emerge.
Processing & Shipping:
Each print is produced using archival pigment inks on acid-free, 100% cotton rag paper. Each print is signed and numbered by the artist, accompanied by a certificate of authenticity, and shipped unframed.
Shipping is currently available within Canada, excluding Saskatchewan. If you are located outside of Canada, please reach out using the Contact page and we can discuss whether an order may be possible.
As each print is made to order, please allow up to 10 business days for processing and preparation before shipping.
