Pink Peony No. 7 (2026)
29” x 29” (intended size; currently on an untrimmed 40" × 32" matboard to help preserve edges prior to framing and allow for flexibility in framing)
Drawn on a matboard using alcohol-based markers.
Artist’s Note:
Completed on New Year’s Day 2026, this drawing marked a meaningful return for me to large-scale floral artwork, reconnecting me with my mother’s peonies, the blooms that inspired my first peony drawings. This peony’s vibrant colour and the movement created by vivid brush-tip strokes throughout its petals captured the refreshing energy of a new year.
